2027 Nuveen Scholarship recipient announced

We’re happy to announce Claudia as the 2026/27 Nuveen Natural Capital x Ability Agriculture Scholarship Recipient.

Claudia, lives on her family’s beef cattle property near Coonabarabran NSW and is currently studying a Bachelor of Rural Science part‑time through UNE. 

Agriculture has been part of her life since childhood — from livestock showing to field days — and she continues to champion sustainable farming through her involvement with the North West Intrepid Landcare group.

Claudia was introduced to Ability Agriculture during a challenging period in 2022, when she received her diagnosis. Her determination to re‑engage with the agricultural industry, rebuild and navigate her capacity, and pursue every opportunity available displays her passion to be a part of the ag industry.

She is passionate about soil health, natural capital, and the future of sustainable Australian agriculture. This scholarship will support her study intensives, reduce financial pressure, and help her build new skills — including obtaining her agricultural drone licence, a qualification that will expand her career pathways while supporting her health needs.
