Nominate a Rural Region or Remote Queensland school to participate in our Veggie garden program to empower and connect students with disability to agriculture 🌾

Thanks to the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal were able to expand our program and support 5 more schools.

What does the program involve?

The Ability Agriculture Foundation received the ABC Heywire Youth Innovation Grant focusing on The Bigger Picture: empower young people in regional towns to celebrate their differences and foster connection among themselves. https://frrr.org.au/blog/2024/09/10/heywire-2024-grants-awarded/

The Ability Agriculture Foundation aims to connect students in rural, regional and remote queensland to agriculture through the veggie garden program. Each participating school will be donated a vegepod starter pack that students with disability or impairments will get to assemble and culitivate their veggies.

Free audiovisual resources on how to assemble and information on growing your veggies will be accessible to school participants.

All participating schools will be connected via an email chain to update each other on their veggie gardens throughout the year.
